I began working in stained glass in the 1980s, taking classes with local glass artists who at the time were working almost exclusively in stained glass. I joined the Metropolitan Stained Glass Guild, which later merged with the National Capital Art Glass Guild, located in the Washington DC metropolitan area. As fused glass began to emerge, I became interested in that as well, but I continue to work in both aspects of glass. I belong both to NCAGG and to ArtSites, the Guild for Judaic Art. Judaica and the creation of ritual objects or images forms a large part of my work, but I enjoy experimenting in all aspects of glasswork. I have taken workshops or classes with many nationally and internationally known glass artists as I attempt to explore new dimensions of glass and improve my own work.
